ARPH Dog
11755  Josey

Josey is a young (under a year) red tri girl with very pretty blue eyes.  She is housebroken and crate-trained.  Josey is also very friendly with people, is good with the other foster dogs and getting better with the cats.

When Josey first saw the cats, she was terrified!  She growled at them and then ran and hid in her crate.  It was hysterical.  Then she ventured out again and the same thing happened.  A couple hours later, she went up to one, sniffed it, and then ran into her crate.   By the next day, she decided they weren't aliens and while not 100% sure yet, she isn't running and hiding in her crate anymore when they are around.  In fact, when a cat jumped into her foster mom's lap, she went up and sniffed it.  Oh, Josey is just too cute.

She and what we think is her brother, Amos, were surrendered together to a shelter and therefore, in danger, as owner turn in dogs do not have to be kept 72 hours as strays do.  They can be put down immediately if the shelter is full, as many of them are.

Josey is safe now and after being fully vetted (all vaccs, heartworm tested and spayed) she will be eligible for adoption.
